Get more clients by optimising your marketing

Have you ever done something and expected an amazing result first time? Crazy right? Serena Williams didn't get so good by playing tennis just once; nor did she expect to be outstanding the first time she picked up a racket. Yet, when it comes to marketing, many small business owners expect to 'do some marketing' and instantly get a sale.


Here's the thing. Marketing is not sales. The role of marketing is to let people know about your business and open the door to a conversation; the role of sales is to close it.


As a marketer, when I hear people say that they ran one facebook ad and 'it didn't work', I understandably get a little antsy!


How do you know it 'didn't work'? What are you basing that on? What you're saying is that you ran an ad only once and you expected to get lots of people buying from you. Erk. Computer says no.
